The name Monkey Shoulder comes from a condition suffered by maltmen of yore whose hard labour in distilleries often caused one shoulder to droop. It was modern day malt master David Stewart who invented this whisky – the world’s first triple malt. Its wonderful smoothness is due to there being no grain whisky in the blend and maturation in single-use bourbon casks. It has been described as “like riding bareback on the wild moors of Scotland with a flame haired maiden on Christmas morning”! These six baubles, each containing a 5cl bottle of Monkey Shoulder, will surely make Christmas extra special.
