The Wine
St Hallett's epitomises the spirit and determination of 19th century pioneers in Oz. The Lindner family arrived in the Barossa from Silesia in 1838. Through grim determination and hard graft, they eventually started making wine by the mid 20th century. Initially these were fortified wines, in a small shed, but demand soon grew. And right from the start, they realised the importance of old vines and terroir. Over the years, they've gained an understanding of the amazing tapestry of soils and climates of the Barossa Valley and learnt to reap the very best from each site. They have a terrific network of well established growers, some of the best in the valley. This glorious Shiraz is dense and spicy, aged for 10 months in French and US oak.
