The Spirit
The name Santamanía is taken from the Spanish word for obsessive – and that encapsulates perfectly the ethos of this exciting new distillery. Attention to detail is key, and their ‘maestros destiladores’ – master distillers, if you hadn’t guessed – never craft spirits in batches larger than 700 bottles. That allows them to monitor each stage of the process – carefully, methodically, patiently. They’re obsessive about their ingredients, too. The base spirit is derived from Spanish Tempranillo and their unique blend of botanicals – coriander, angelica, raspberry, pistachio and more – is always 100% natural. Only the best for the Santamanía team. Clean, crisp and unctuous, this complex gin makes a fine G&T – add a raspberry and lemon zest.
