The Wine
With seductive charm, the bright elegance and opulent fruit of the Blue Belle is hard to resist. When RedHeads head honcho Alex T stumbled across this beauty of a parcel of Riesling, he knew it would turn some heads. From one of their grower mates, the grapes had lovely ripeness, intensity and pure limey zing. Harvested in cooler night time temperatures, the fruit was immediately pressed in the RedHeads cellar to capture maximum flavour and crispness. When you think of Barossa, you so often imagine big, rich Shiraz reds. But it is also an incredible region for vibrantly fruity whites. Just like this aromatic Riesling with notes of citrus, melon and Granny Smith apple. A wonderful aperitif, or beautifully fresh with an Asian noodle salad.
