The Wine
Founded in 1849 Pol Roger is generally regarded as one of the finest Champagne houses, adored for the great style and finesse of its wines. Their Rosé Vintage is based on the impressive Brut Vintage (60% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay) to which 15% of still red wine (Pinot Noir) from the best crus of the Montagne de Reims is added. The result is a truly indulgent Champagne, filled with red berries and a rich spicy depth. There's plenty of bright acidity in each sip, that rounds out to a sensation of bursting redcurrants accompanied by a lively finish that's impressively long. Produced only in limited quantities, it really is exceptional. Savour now for freshness or keep for many years to come for a richer and more opulent style of wine.
