The Wine
In 1950, nineteen producers joined together to produce truly outstanding Champagnes. Word of mouth success means the cellar now tends 120 hectares of Premier Cru vineyards around Champagne, centering on the Côte des Blancs. Here, the Chardonnay grape is king and the chalky soils of Vertus lend a rich, yet refreshingly mineral quality to this Brut Tradition. The best grapes were selected and vinified using a combination of traditional expertise and the latest technology, to produce a top quality Champagne. As with all Paul Goerg Champagnes, it was left to mature on its lees for three years, giving it a delicious biscuity character and creamy richness.
Serve chilled on its own; with canapés, seared scallops or even strawberries and cream.
