The Wine
Enjoy the rich, deep fruit and peppery spice of this exceptional, organic, Gold medal Shiraz. It's from a 5-star family winery that dates back to 1886. That was when Dr William Angove, recently arrived in South Australia from England, made his first rich red wine as a tonic for his patients. He became renowned for his brandy, too. That innovative spirit lives on today at the excellent McLaren Vale estate run by the fifth generation. All the grapes for their Naturalis wine comes from the family's Nanya vineyard, near Paringa in the McLaren Vale. Soils of red loam over limestone, ample sunshine, warm days and cold nights produce gorgeous ripe fruit with a touch of freshness. Highly recommended with Greek style lamb or mushroom burger.
