The Spirit
Epicurean connoisseurs have appreciated France’s most famous spirit, cognac, for centuries, while hip-hop culture gave it a boost of popularity in the 1990s. None has more cachet than 260-year-old Hennessy – a name inextricably linked with the notion of luxury and the search for perfection. Hennessy VSOP – Very Special Old Pale – was first created in 1817 at the behest of the future King George IV to dazzle his friends and remains today one of their most popular spirits. It’s a blend of cuvées all at least four years old, aged in the cellar – an extremely smooth, well-balanced cognac displaying their 260 years of experience.
