The Wine
Tucked away between the Adriatic Sea and the Apennine mountains lies a top cellar we can’t name with exceptional Marche vineyards. Since 1995 Verdicchio has been their prized white grape and those from Castelli di Jesi, some of the finest. Protected by the mountains on one side and cooled by sea breezes on the other, their vines produce grapes with vividly aromatic flavour. Stefano Chioccioli is the hero behind this white, a star of Italian winemaking. He’s crafted this characterful white with its creamy roundness, citrus fruit and a dance-on-the-tongue freshness. Using grapes usually reserved for the winery's Riserva and Superiore Verdicchios, the wine had six months' lees ageing to lend extra weight and richness. A delicious aperitivo.
