This estate Chardonnay continues to excel as it wins Gold for the second year running. Owned since 2015 by Nick and Lisa Kent, it starred in Tim Akin MW's Top 100 Languedoc wines. Enjoy its lovely freshness, creamy texture and ripe melon flavour.

The Wine
It's the kind of story you see in the movies. In 2015, Nick and Lisa were on holiday in the Languedoc, a part of France they'd always loved, for the people, the landscape and (of course) the wines. One afternoon, they popped into this small domaine for a tasting. Six months later, they had the keys. But this was no romantic folly. Both Nick and Lisa hail from corporate backgrounds, so they had the foresight to keep hold of the skills of head winemaker Vincent Maurel. Vincent's been working here for the best part of 20 years, winning many awards for his elegant wines. This 2019 Chardonnay is a great example. Beautiful, not only for its structure and elegance, but also its refreshing, crisp finish. Great solo, and tasty with seafood pancakes.
