The Wine
Domaine Régis Fèvre is a small estate in Fyé, the village where Bernard Dampt first started his family estate. When it came up for sale in 2017, brothers Emannuel and Eric Dampt jumped at the chance of expanding their domaine with some exceptionally fine vineyards from their neighbour. That included Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards, as well as vines over 70 years old for their ‘standard’ Chablis. From vines next door to their Premier Cru Montée de Tonnere and their Grand Cru Blanchot, this Chablis from a superb classic vintage shows lovely intensity, freshness and poise. Serve cellar cool in large-bowled glasses and pair with fine seafood, such as salmon en croute, with white meats or creamy-filled choux pastry.
