Parker writes this "an estate whose wines I recommend with much enthusiasm." That's especially true for the 5-star 2017 vintage of this superb Pommard 1er Cru, reportedly on the cusp of being elevated to Grand Cru. Makes superb drinking or cellaring.
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.
But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

The Wine
The Monnier family have been winemakers ‘from father to son’ since 1720. Whether from Meursault, Volnay, Pommard or Beaune, their wines bear all the qualities and subtleties of the excellent terroir from which they are harvested. Grands Epenots Clos de Citeaux is the pinnacle of their red winemaking – a Pommard Premier Cru of richness, heft and velvet fruit. It's so good, in fact, there's talk of raising it to Grand Cru status. This would be a first for Pommard which, despite the quality of its wines, has none. Yet! Jean-Claude Monnier and his son Nicolas are the winemakers, meticulously crafting a range of wines. Delve into the rich power of this red. Let it breathe before serving with duck or wild mushroom croustade. Alternatively cellar.
