The Wine
Sancerre is a renowned region of the Loire's Central Vineyards, famous for some of the world's finest Sauvignon Blanc. The Naudet family have been grape growers there for five generations and have slowly built up 16 hectares of vineyards. These are all tiny plots, divided over seven different subregions. Each site has a unique soil and aspect to the sun, which results in a different character in a wine. Their Pierre à Feu sources grapes from a single hillside vineyard, blessed with flinty Silex soils. These lend a smoky gunflint character to the citrus and herbal notes of the wine. Domaine des Buissonnes Pierre à Feu has pure, intense, lemony fruit and racy freshness. An ideal partner to scallops, other seafood or goat's cheese salad.
