The Wine
Antoine Jobard took over the five-hectare estate from his father back in 2007 and still today produces a mere 2,000 cases a year. Antoine has developed a more mineral-driven citrusy style, illustrated in this superb Meursault. It comes from Sous la Velle, Les Chaumes de Narvaux and Corbins vineyards, the grapes of which bring a lovely balance of ripe fruit along with that mineral cut, particularly pronounced in the classic 2021 vintage. The Jobard style is light on oak, with lees ageing, but no stirring, again to retain the citrus tension. This Meursault is a lean, mineral style of great complexity and elegance that will age magnificently. For drinking now, open early, decant, then serve in large bowled glasses. A classic with fine seafood.

Very well balanced with a citrus peel opening, crisp acidity and a little fatness. Very fine
