It’s cleverly crafted from what is usually regarded as a waste product – the leftover grape skins, pips and stems of the Chardonnay grapes (known as pomace), distilled into vodka. It is then combined with another so-called waste product – the liquid left over from dealcoholising a wine which, it was discovered, has the flavour essence of the original grape.
