The critics were full of praise for the 2020 vintage: “Bordeaux has another terrific vintage on its hands” (Jeb Dunnock), "an excellent vintage" (Neal Martin). Judge for yourself in the dark fruit and subtle oak complexity of Château Roquegrave.

The Wine
Welcome to Château Roquegrave – a family-owned estate comprising 30 hectares of vineyards planted on a high plateau with a commanding view of the Gironde estuary. With an average age of 25 years, the vines are carefully tended by winemaker and owner Pierre Yves Joannon. James Suckling proclaimed that “2020 represents a third super-quality vintage in a row”, while Jeb Dunnock declared it was “unquestionably a great vintage”. So look forward to a rich, complex claret, crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with a splash of Petit Verdot, all aged in fine French oak. A supple Bordeaux, worthy of its acclaim. Ideal with game and roast meats.
