The Wine
Rosé Champagne might be a long established tradition at Veuve Clicquot, but this Non Vintage version is relatively new. Cellarmaster Jacques Péters and his team wanted to create a rosé that would be accessible and naturally engaging while still celebrating the famous house style. He’s done this by including a particularly high percentage (as much as 40%) of reserve wine – which is made from specially cellared wines from previous harvests – to keep that famous, delightfully luscious, fruit based charm. The wonderful pink colour comes from the addition of a red wine that has been carefully fermented to give seductive body and balance. Enjoy this sparkling treat with celebration canapés, sharing with your better half or sipping with friends.
