The Wine
For many Champagne aficionados, the House of Lanson produces the region’s most authentic fizz. Their house style is rich and powerful, and also fresh and energetic thanks to their traditional winemaking style. By choosing not to use malolactic fermentation, the house style emphasises the rich fruit character and intense aromatics. Fruit sourced from separate plots is vinified separately, giving winemaker Hervé Dantan an extensive palette of flavours from which he can produce the perfect assemblage. His Extra Age Brut takes wines from three highly regarded vintages – 2002, 2004 and 2005 – to capture the full power of the Pinot Noir and the crisp finesse of the Chardonnay from prime sites across the region. The perfect celebration sparkler.
