The Wine
Ca’ Vescovo is a stand-out Pinot Grigio from northern Italy. It’s made entirely from premium estate grown grapes in Friuli, the country’s top white wine region. To guarantee quality the Zonin family keep every aspect of production in house. Winemaker is Marco Rabino, who you may recall is the talent behind our hugely popular Ca’ Bolani Prosecco. Amazingly, wine has been made at this exceptional estate for 1500 years. The first vineyard was planted by Roman settlers in AD 572. They took the wines back to Rome and made the area around the Friuli town of Aquileia famous for quality white wine. Cool fermented to capture all that freshness, aroma and flavour, this wine is appetising on its own and a dead cert with fish, salads or creamy pasta.
