The Beer
If you enjoy craft beer not too hefty on alcohol but packing a punch in flavour, then pull open a can of BrewDog’s Jet Black Heart. This comforting brew is certainly one of the best in the UK and has a strong following. Perhaps that’s no surprise, when BrewDog itself is something of a phenomenon. Established just in 2007 as a ‘punk style’ garage brewery in Aberdeenshire, its founders are masters in self promotion, pulling off stunts like having their own beer banned, and serving the world’s strongest beer out of dead squirrels. Growth worldwide has been stratospheric. Still, when you open a BrewDog beer, forget all that and just enjoy its flavour packed taste. Roasted malty coffee and chocolate notes, with a bite of citrus, this is sublime.
