The Beer
OK, so Beerd Beers aren’t made in their eponymously titled craft ales and pizza bar, but they’re still a brewery we love to visit. Their head brewer is an innovative Irishman called Shane O’Beirne, and he’s a master at coming up with small batch limited editions, so whenever you visit you can never be sure what you’ll end up tasting! However, they do stock a core range of delicious craft beers and Cubic American Pale Ale is one of our favourites. It’s a triple treat of Summit, Columbus and Citra hops, which impart gloriously mellow bitterness and beguiling passion fruit and citrus characteristics. As with any hoppy ale, it’s perfect with pizza – the powerful flavours make it perfect with spicy pepperoni or strong cheese.
