The Spirit
Yet another fabulous, inventive gin from Chase. After launching the highly successful Tyrrells crisps, potato farmer Will Chase was growing restless. On a trip to the States he chanced upon a boutique distillery making craft vodka from their home grown potatoes. So, back in the UK, he set about establishing the Chase Distillery. After successfully launching Chase Vodka, he turned his attention to gin, using the same raw spirit that goes into the vodka. To make Chase GB Gin, 10 carefully selected botanicals are placed in the still head where the flavours infuse into the vapours passing through. Then, for this gin, wild sloe and mulberry are macerated in the spirit and all aged in ex Rhône red wine barrels. What a sumptuous mix of flavours.
