This impressive young winemaker spends most of his time tending the old vines on his estate, just like his father Lucien did, because ultimately that’s where quality is decided. This is the domaine's fine entry-level Bourgogne - an expertly made wine using some grapes from the estate's old Savigny vineyards to lend extra berry flavour intensity. A year's oak ageing adds the kind of complexity normally found in a 1er Cru and contributes to its appealing silky texture – the trademark of fine Burgundy.
